Synopsis:

Diego and Gemma feel an immense love for each other. However, the inability to conceive a child tarnishes the couple's happiness and turns Gemma's motherhood into an obsession. In the most hostile environment, a Sarajevo destroyed by war, fate will end up offering them in the cruelest and most unexpected way that child they want. Years later, Gemma returns to Sarajevo with her son, Pietro, to attend an exhibition in memory of the victims of the siege that includes photographs of Diego, and he will have to face his past.
